Qualified Electrician (Junior) – Pretoria

About the role

Our client is seeking a motivated Junior Electrician to join their team in Pretoria. The role focuses on the installation and commissioning of electricity meters for both municipal and private tenant installations. The successful candidate will work on-site, ensuring safe and compliant electrical connections.

Key responsibilities

• Assess whether a primary municipal meter or a private sub‑meter is required for each project.
• Conduct site inspections, reviewing distribution boards and existing wiring.
• Isolate main power before mounting and wiring the new meter.
• Connect the meter between the main supply feed and circuit breakers, following technical specifications.
• Perform testing, certify the installation, and issue a Certificate of Compliance (COC).
• Register the meter on the token vending platform to enable credit loading.

Required profile

• Qualified Electrician with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Fluent in Afrikaans and able to communicate effectively on site.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to go the extra mile.
• Own reliable transport and a valid driver’s licence.
