Public Relations (PR) Consultant

About the role

Armscor is looking for an experienced Public Relations (PR) Consultant to join the Office of the CEO. The role focuses on shaping public perception, managing media relations, and supporting the CEO with strategic communication across a complex corporate environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement executive communication strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
• Draft speeches, media statements, press releases, opinion pieces, and key messaging for the CEO.
• Build and maintain relationships with media representatives and industry influencers.
• Coordinate media engagements, interviews, briefings, press conferences, and public appearances.
• Lead crisis communication planning and response initiatives.
• Develop and execute stakeholder engagement strategies, facilitating forums and roundtables.
• Monitor reputational risks, develop proactive reputation management programmes, and support branding initiatives.
• Create high‑quality content for traditional, digital, and social media platforms to position executive leadership as a thought leader.

Required profile

• Proven experience in public relations or corporate communications, preferably supporting senior executives.
• Exceptional writing and editing abilities.
• Strong media networks and the ability to manage high‑visibility media interactions.
• Demonstrated experience in crisis communication and reputation management.
• Ability to analyse stakeholder sentiment and provide strategic insights.
