Public Relations Educator (Higher Education)

About the role

Boston City Campus & Boston Media House are seeking a qualified Educator to deliver the Public Relations module for their higher‑education programme. The role is based in Stellenbosch and involves distance‑learning delivery to undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate learning and teaching of assigned Public Relations modules in line with the approved syllabus.
• Adhere to published academic calendars, timetables and upload quality‑assured teaching, learning and assessment materials on time.
• Respond promptly to student enquiries and provide consistent support throughout the semester.
• Develop and maintain learning and support materials, ensuring they meet institutional pedagogical standards.
• Grade assessments, report results and participate in regular academic management meetings.
• Engage in internal and external moderation, committee work, syllabus design and updates.
• Contribute to programme and module reviews, annual reports and data analysis for reporting purposes.
• Participate in scholarly activities such as research, professional development and internal colloquia.
• Take part in community‑engagement initiatives as defined by the institution.

Required profile

• Minimum qualification: Advanced Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Bachelor Honours or Postgraduate Diploma in a relevant field.
• Commitment to student support and adherence to Boston City Campus policies and procedures.
