Proposal Manager

About the role

The Proposal Manager provides operational, coordination and administrative support to the Business Development Director, ensuring that bid processes run smoothly and proposals are delivered on time and to a high standard. This role is central to pipeline tracking, client research and bid support for infrastructure projects across Africa and the Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end bid processes for assigned opportunities, translating RFPs and ToRs into compliant proposals.
• Develop proposal outlines, compliance matrices, win themes and value propositions.
• Coordinate inputs from technical, commercial, legal and partner teams and maintain proposal templates, CVs and case studies.
• Maintain and track the Business Unit pipeline, applying qualification criteria and reporting on health, risks and values.
• Support client engagement planning, conduct market and competitor research, and prepare briefing notes and action trackers.
• Contribute to technical positioning by translating client needs into company solutions and assist with technical team setup for bids.

Required profile

• Strong organisational and coordination abilities with a focus on detail.
• Experience in bid management or proposal coordination within a construction or engineering environment.
• Ability to work across cross‑functional teams and manage multiple deadlines.
• Familiarity with pipeline and opportunity tracking, including CRM usage.
