Proposal Engineer – Capital Cost Engineering

About the role

ProProcess is seeking a Proposal Engineer specialized in capital cost engineering to develop cost estimates and proposals for modular process solutions in the mining and petrochemical sectors. The role bridges client requirements, technical specifications, and the execution team, ensuring proposals are competitive, accurate, and aligned with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review client scope, technical and specification documents and translate them into detailed cost registers.
• Consult with suppliers and vendors to develop custom equipment concepts, negotiate cost reductions, and resolve technical issues.
• Populate technical and commercial proposals with accurate information and ensure timely submission to the sales team.
• Maintain CRM and Sprints board data, keep equipment pricing up‑to‑date, and store all estimation files correctly in OneDrive.
• Support the Capital Cost Engineering Manager with new concept designs for plant optimisation and standardisation.
• Arrange cost‑review meetings with managers and sales, and generate hand‑over tracking registers.
• Identify opportunities to apply standard ProProcess equipment and drive innovation that reduces cost, time, and material waste.
