Projects Scheduler – 5-Year Contract (National Office)

About the role

Our client, the Independent Development Trust, is seeking an experienced Projects Scheduler for its National Office in Pretoria. The role involves developing and implementing scheduling strategies to support the delivery of large‑scale construction and infrastructure programmes over a five‑year fixed‑term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and optimise master schedules for programmes and projects across the full lifecycle.
• Facilitate scheduling planning activities and provide guidance to project teams.
• Collect, analyse and report scheduling data to ensure accurate and timely information.
• Produce schedule analysis, performance reports and presentations for technical and executive audiences.
• Engage with stakeholders to align schedules with client requirements and constraints.

Required profile

• Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Project Planner/Scheduler, preferably in infrastructure or the built environment sector.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies and processes.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint).
• Extensive experience with Primavera P6 for project scheduling and performance analysis.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Project for schedule tracking and reporting.
