Project Manager - Transmission Lines (Design & Construction)

About the role

Lead the planning, design, construction and commissioning of high‑voltage transmission line projects under EPC/PC contracts, ensuring compliance with Eskom requirements, safety standards and delivery obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle delivery of transmission line projects, including route interface, design coordination, procurement, site construction and commissioning support.
• Oversee tower spotting, foundations, structures, stringing and line completion activities.
• Manage designers, contractors and specialist consultants.
• Ensure compliance with Eskom standards, Grid Code and project scope requirements.
• Control project schedule, cost, reporting and risk.
• Drive stakeholder engagement, technical reviews and approvals.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years experience in transmission line design and construction.
• Experience on projects of at least 400 kV, preferably 765 kV.
• Proven EPC/PC project delivery experience.
• Strong knowledge of Eskom transmission line standards, approvals and construction practices.
• ECSA registration preferred.
