Project Manager – Strategic Sales & Distribution

About the role

The Project Manager will lead and coordinate high-impact strategic projects within the Sales & Distribution function, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, on budget and generate the expected business outcomes. This role works closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency and commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end delivery of strategic Sales & Distribution initiatives, aligning them with business priorities.
• Establish and maintain robust project governance, tracking milestones, risks, dependencies and benefits realization.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams—including Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, IT, Procurement and external partners—to ensure seamless execution.
• Provide programme management support to the Sales & Distribution leadership team, preparing project reports, steering-committee updates and executive dashboards.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational efficiency, customer service, route-to-market effectiveness and commercial performance.
• Lead change-management activities to support adoption of new processes, systems and ways of working.
• Monitor project outcomes, measure business benefits and embed continuous-improvement practices across the function.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Commerce, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Project Management or a related field.
• Recognised project-management qualification or certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile or equivalent) – advantageous.
• Post-graduate qualification (MBA or Honours) – an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years’ project-management experience, preferably within the FMCG sector.
• Alignment with Tiger Brands’ employment-equity goals; preference may be given to candidates from under-represented designated groups.
