Project Manager – ICT PMO

About the role

The Project Manager (ICT PMO) will own and drive the full project lifecycle for technical, operational and regulatory programmes within Prescient Fund Services. Reporting to the Head of PMO, the role is based in Westlake, Cape Town and focuses on delivering high‑impact technology projects for fund services and asset management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of projects from initiation through planning, execution, go‑live and closure, ensuring scope, schedule and quality targets are met.
• Coordinate software procurement, vendor implementations, system integrations and in‑house development, working closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Engineers and System Architects.
• Manage stakeholder relationships across business operations, ICT leadership and external vendors, facilitating steering committees and workshops.
• Maintain rigorous scope, RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs and drive proactive mitigation and escalation.
• Oversee BAU enhancement intake, incident escalation and regulatory change programmes, ensuring compliance with Central Bank reporting requirements.

Required profile

• 8+ years of project management experience in ICT supporting fund services, asset management or broader financial services.
• Proven track record delivering technology‑driven operational and regulatory projects through the full SDLC.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• Active PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP or Agile/Scrum certification (minimum one required).
