Project Manager – Building Construction Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead building construction projects in Pretoria. The role involves overseeing projects from planning through hand‑over, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and manage multiple building construction projects.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets and resource plans.
• Oversee site activities, conduct inspections and lead progress meetings.
• Manage contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.
• Ensure compliance with construction regulations, health‑safety and quality standards.
• Monitor costs, control budget expenditure and prepare regular project reports.
• Identify risks, implement mitigation strategies and resolve site‑related issues.
• Administer contracts and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Lead successful project hand‑over and close‑out procedures.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric and a Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Science, Project Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing commercial, residential or industrial building construction projects.
• Proven ability to deliver projects from planning to completion.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, regulations and project‑management principles.
• Valid driver’s licence, reliable transport and residence in Pretoria.
