Project Manager – Better Mining Projects

About the role

The Project Manager will lead end‑to‑end delivery of client projects within SLR Better Mining, ensuring ethical mineral supply chains across Africa. You will combine financial oversight, resource planning and data‑driven analysis to produce high‑quality outputs for clients and improve conditions on mine sites.

Key responsibilities

• Own full project lifecycle – from inception to completion – delivering on time, within scope and budget.
• Develop, monitor and control detailed project budgets, forecasts, spend and burn‑rate, flagging risks to senior leadership.
• Plan and allocate project resources, coordinating analysts and in‑country teams using project‑management tools such as Asana.
• Lead structured analysis of field monitoring data, risk metrics and performance indicators, turning complex datasets into clear client‑ready insights.
• Manage client relationships, present findings and recommendations, and ensure analytical outputs meet responsible sourcing standards.

Required profile

• Proven consulting or advisory experience managing complex workstreams, budgets and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong judgment, leadership and accountability for project delivery.
• Comfortable working in a multi‑country environment with travel as needed.
