Project Engineer – Water

About the role

We are looking for a Project Engineer – Water to support the delivery of water infrastructure projects across Ireland, the UK and international locations. You will work closely with senior engineers, project managers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects progress from initial brief to successful completion.

Key responsibilities

• Support water infrastructure projects from feasibility, concept design through detailed design, procurement, construction and hand‑over.
• Prepare feasibility studies, route and site selection reports, and concept design documentation.
• Develop outline and detailed designs, including drawings, calculations and technical reports.
• Draft technical specifications and contract documents for main works and investigations.
• Assist tender evaluation, procurement processes and preparation of statutory approval documentation.
• Support construction‑stage contract administration, site inspections and compliance monitoring.
• Contribute to project planning, programme scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with project teams, clients and stakeholders to ensure effective delivery.

Required profile

• Degree in civil, environmental or water engineering or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior staff and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to develop technical and project‑management capabilities.
