About the role
The University of Johannesburg seeks a Professor in the Faculty of Engineering & the Built Environment, Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering Science. The role involves teaching, supervising students, and leading research within a vibrant academic community.
Key responsibilities
- Lecturing at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Electrical & Electronic Engineering Science.
- Supervising final‑year projects, honours, master’s and doctoral research.
- Applying innovative, blended‑learning approaches and technology‑assisted teaching.
- Conducting high‑quality research and publishing in ISI/IBSS‑listed journals.
- Participating in departmental administration, community engagement and industry collaboration.
- Developing national and international research and teaching partnerships.
Required profile
- Proven experience lecturing at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise capstone, master’s and doctoral projects.
- Track record of research publications in recognised journals.
- Engagement in community, industry and collaborative academic initiatives.
Required skills
- Electrical and Electronic Engineering expertise.
