Professional Driver (Code 8 with PrDP) – Cape Town

About the role

Career Start is expanding its in‑house logistics team and seeks two experienced Code 8 drivers with a valid PrDP. The role involves transporting high‑priority documents and equipment while representing the brand with world‑class safety and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Complete 5–8 scheduled pickups and drop‑offs of business documents and equipment across Cape Town CBD and surrounding suburbs each day.
• Perform a mandatory 15‑minute pre‑trip vehicle inspection covering fluid levels, tyre pressure and lights.
• Maintain an accurate digital logbook on a mobile device, recording mileage, fuel consumption and timestamps.
• Provide on‑time shuttle service for international candidates and partners between the office and the airport.
• Clean interior and exterior of assigned vehicles weekly to uphold brand standards.

Required profile

• Clean, valid South African Code 8 driver’s licence with an active PrDP and proven professional driving experience.
• Deep familiarity with Cape Town routes and ability to plan and execute routes independently.
• Polished, professional communication style suitable for representing a leading growth platform.
• Strong self‑direction and reliability to manage demanding routes without constant supervision.
