Production Manager – Food Processing Plant

About the role

Our client, an international food production and processing plant located in the Boland area near Wolseley, is seeking a hands‑on Production Manager. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring product quality, and maintaining compliance with food safety standards while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day production flow to meet schedules and output targets.
• Ensure products meet quality standards and comply with HACCP and GMP regulations.
• Lead, coach and develop production staff, fostering accountability and teamwork.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
• Prepare and present performance reports to senior management.
• Collaborate with supply chain, quality, and engineering teams to align production with business goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Food Science or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of production management experience in FMCG, food manufacturing or a related industry.
• Proactive, adaptable, detail‑oriented and passionate about continuous improvement.
