Production Controller

About the role

The Production Controller will oversee daily shift activities within the General Foods section, ensuring that output, quality and efficiency targets are met. This role is hands‑on, requiring presence on the production floor to monitor roasting and other food manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage daily production shift activities to achieve output, quality and efficiency goals.
• Monitor production parameters closely, ensuring strict adherence to product specifications and food safety standards.
• Lead shift staff, facilitate clear communication and support task execution.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP and other hygiene standards.
• Report any schedule deviations or equipment issues to the Production Manager and take corrective action.
• Complete shift reports, maintain accurate production documentation and records.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 education.
• At least three years’ experience as a Manufacturing Supervisor or Team Leader in food manufacturing, preferably sauces.
• Proven leadership abilities with experience managing subordinates.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HACCP food safety standards.
• Understanding of GMP hygiene practices.
• Experience with roasting processes.
• Mechanical maintenance of production equipment.
