Product Specialist – Industrial Tools (Johannesburg/Pretoria)

About the role

You will own the commercial success of a high‑value range of industrial tools and equipment. Your ability to demonstrate products in real‑world applications, influence customer decisions, and convert opportunities into revenue will define your success. If you are confident working hands‑on with tools and equally confident closing deals, this role is built for you.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of driving sales performance across the product portfolio.
• Get in front of customers, demonstrate, influence, and close deals.
• Conduct high‑impact, hands‑on product demonstrations that lead to immediate buying decisions.
• Partner with sales teams to unlock opportunities and accelerate deal closure.
• Build credibility as the go‑to expert customers trust and buy from.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities aggressively.
• Execute solution‑based selling strategies that deliver measurable results.
• Drive product launches, promotions, and field initiatives with energy and urgency.
• Stay ahead of competitors by owning product knowledge and market intelligence.

Required profile

• Proven track record in technical sales with consistent overachievement.
• Strong, hands‑on experience with industrial tools and equipment.
• Ability to confidently demonstrate and operate tools in real customer environments.
• A closer’s mindset – you don’t just present, you convert.
• High levels of drive, energy, and accountability.
• Strong commercial instincts and negotiation capability.
• Comfortable operating independently in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively.
• Reliable own transport (LDV is essential).
