Procurement Specialist – Operations Support

About the role

Ngodwana Energy is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to support the General Manager of Operations. The role involves managing day‑to‑day purchasing activities, ensuring cost‑effective and high‑quality procurement while driving process and IT system improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with SHEQ policies and ISO standards and communicate regulatory updates to contractors.
• Provide SAP Super‑User support, align procurement processes with strategic objectives, and implement user requirements.
• Oversee vendor performance, manage the full contract lifecycle, and develop a centralized Contract Management System.
• Maintain and improve Vendor and Material Master Data.
• Implement tactical sourcing strategies, manage sourcing teams, mitigate supply‑chain risks, and explore standardisation opportunities.
• Develop complex analyses, introduce new reporting methodologies, report risks, and prepare management reports.
• Lead Enterprise and Supplier Development initiatives and manage the bid process for related projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in commercial, engineering, legal or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in engineering & construction, manufacturing or heavy‑industry environments.

Required skills

• SAP (Super‑User level)
