About the role
The Printing Assistant/Driver provides messenger and driving services for the City Hall Support Services department of eThekwini. The role combines vehicle operation, document handling and basic printing tasks to ensure timely distribution of materials across the municipality.
Key responsibilities
- Drive a light motor vehicle to various municipal locations and perform daily deliveries.
- Distribute material promptly and ensure accurate dispatch of documents.
- Perform binding, padding, wrapping and labelling of documents and parcels.
- Operate printing and finishing machines within the department.
- Provide general assistance to the printing unit and undertake duties as directed by the manager.
Required profile
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
- Valid motor vehicle driving licence.
- At least 1 year of experience in multi‑colour printing or bindery finishing.
- Computer literacy.
