Portuguese Language Trainer & E‑Learning Content Technician

About the role

The Portuguese Council for Refugees (CPR) seeks a Portuguese as a Foreign Language (PLE) trainer who will also manage e‑learning content. The position supports a one‑year project (renewable) aimed at education, training and social integration for refugees in the Lisbon and Loures areas.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement PLE training programmes in collaboration with the PLE Training Coordinator.
• Prepare session plans, pedagogical materials and digital learning resources aligned with course objectives and target audiences.
• Deliver PLE courses at CPR reception centres or other designated locations for youth and adults.
• Contribute to the creation and delivery of sociocultural activities integrated into the PLE curriculum.
• Participate in conferences, workshops and awareness actions about CPR’s work, both in‑person and online.
• Produce monitoring reports and evaluation documents to support continuous improvement.
• Upload and manage training content on CPR’s e‑learning platform and facilitate online courses.

Required profile

• Academic qualification in Portuguese as a Foreign Language or Portuguese as a Non‑Native Language (mandatory).
• Proven experience teaching Portuguese to foreign learners (experience with protected‑status beneficiaries is a plus).
• Certificate of Pedagogical Competence or equivalent (mandatory).
• Ability to work in multicultural teams, manage conflicts and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours; driving licence preferred.
