Platform Engineer – Kubernetes & Azure DevOps

About the role

We are looking for a Platform Engineer to own and operate our production Kubernetes platform, ensuring reliability, scalability and a great developer experience. You will also build and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines and drive infrastructure-as-code across development, testing and production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and upgrade production Kubernetes clusters, enforce quotas, RBAC and namespace policies.
• Configure autoscaling, node pools, capacity planning and lifecycle management via Rancher.
• Maintain a Helm chart library with versioning and values across environments.
• Define SLOs/SLIs, lead on-call rotation, incident response and post-mortems.
• Operate the monitoring stack (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki), create alerting rules and ensure distributed tracing.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, enforce security scanning and policy gates.
• Manage Azure infrastructure with Terraform, keep IaC DRY, reviewed and version-controlled.
• Optimize cost by right-sizing workloads and reporting on spend.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in infrastructure, platform or SRE roles.
• Hands-on production Kubernetes experience (CKA or equivalent).
• Strong Terraform experience on Azure, including remote state and module usage.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting or systems language such as Go, Python or Bash.
• Demonstrated on-call and incident response experience.
• Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, DNS, TLS, ingress controllers, service mesh basics).
• Fluent Linux administration skills.
