Platform Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Platform Engineer to own and operate our production Kubernetes platform, ensuring reliability, scalability, and a great developer experience. You will work with Azure DevOps pipelines and infrastructure-as-code to enable fast, safe, and efficient software delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and upgrade production K8s clusters, enforce resource quotas, RBAC, and namespace policies.
• Own cluster autoscaling, node pool configuration, capacity planning and workload lifecycle via Rancher.
• Maintain a Helm chart library, handling versioning, releases and values across environments.
• Define and track SLOs/SLIs, participate in on-call rotation, lead incident response and post-mortems.
• Maintain and improve the monitoring stack (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki), build alerting rules and ensure distributed tracing.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, enforce security scanning and policy gates.
• Manage Azure infrastructure with Terraform, keeping IaC DRY, reviewed and version-controlled.
• Optimize cost and efficiency by right-sizing workloads and reporting on spend.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform or SRE roles.
• Hands-on production Kubernetes experience (CKA or equivalent).
• Strong Terraform experience on Azure, including remote state and module management.
• Experience with on-call duties, incident handling and post-mortems.
• Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, DNS, TLS, ingress controllers, service mesh basics).
• Proficiency in Linux system administration.
