Planner: Procurement and Production

About the role

The Planner – Procurement and Production will coordinate and control inventory activities across procurement, production, distribution and branch operations. Based at the Groote Schuur site, the role ensures material availability, efficient stock management and uninterrupted operational flow using Netstock and QlikView tools.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor procurement and production inventory to meet demand.
• Administer the Netstock Inventory Management System daily, ensuring data accuracy, MRP functionality and ERP integration.
• Generate and distribute daily Netstock dashboards and monthly production and shipping plans for each branch.
• Monitor inventory levels, review forecast exceptions, and recommend replenishment actions to minimise stock‑outs.
• Investigate and resolve system discrepancies, data mismatches and integration issues.
• Maintain user access, permissions and system security controls.
• Develop and maintain QlikView dashboards covering inventory, procurement, production and supplier performance.
• Analyse data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in inventory planning, production scheduling or supply‑chain coordination.
• Familiarity with Netstock or similar inventory optimisation tools.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
• Experience working with ERP systems and managing system integrations.
• Ability to produce clear reports and dashboards for operational stakeholders.
