Physiotherapist – Rehabilitation Unit (Johannesburg)

About the role

The Life St Dominic's Rehabilitation Unit is seeking a qualified Physiotherapist to join its multidisciplinary team. Reporting to the Therapy Service Co‑Ordinator, you will deliver high‑quality physiotherapy services to in‑patients, including weekends and public holidays when required.

Key responsibilities

• Provide physiotherapy assessments, treatment planning and interventions for patients with neurological disorders (e.g., TBI, CVA, SCI) and complex orthopaedic conditions.
• Deliver clinical services in line with Life Healthcare protocols, maintaining accurate and timely patient records.
• Participate in weekly team and family meetings, educating patients and families about conditions and progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive, patient‑centred care.
• Support continuous professional development activities and uphold relationships with referral sources.

Required profile

• BSc degree in Physiotherapy with current HPCSA registration.
• Special interest in adult neurological rehabilitation; NDT training is an advantage.
• Experience or training in basic/intermediate seating and spasticity management is beneficial.
• Commitment to quality patient care, ethical conduct and compliance with health legislation.
