Physical Education Teacher – Foundation Phase

About the role

ADvTECH, a leading private education provider in Africa, is seeking a Physical Education Teacher for the foundation phase. You will create engaging learning experiences that develop basic literacy, numeracy and physical skills, while fostering a motivating and inclusive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum-aligned physical education and support overall academic delivery.
• Prepare and submit academic assessments and reports.
• Manage student behaviour and promote a safe learning environment.
• Act as a brand ambassador for the school, upholding its values and standards.
• Perform administrative duties and ensure compliance with health and safety policies.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree (NQF level 6) in Early Childhood Development or B.Ed (Foundation Phase).
• PGCE if the degree is deemed suitable.
• SACE certification and a valid police clearance.
• 2‑5 years of teaching experience, preferably in foundation phase.
• Computer and digital literacy, and First Aid certification.
