About the role
We are seeking a talented PHP Web Developer to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. You will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining high‑quality web applications that deliver real business impact. The ideal candidate is passionate about clean code and enjoys tackling complex technical challenges.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications using PHP 7/8+
- Build responsive front‑end interfaces with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks such as Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS
- Create and consume RESTful APIs, handling JSON data
- Design, optimise, and manage MySQL/MariaDB databases
- Integrate third‑party services and APIs
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues promptly
- Write clean, reusable, and well‑documented code using version control (Git)
Required profile
- 4–6+ years of professional PHP development experience
- Proven experience building commercial web applications and enterprise systems
- Strong SQL/database design skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team

- OAuth / JWT (advantageous)
- PHPUnit, Composer, npm (advantageous)
- MVC architecture
