Pharmacist & Store Manager (Johannesburg CBD)

About the role

HillCare Pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacist & Store Manager to lead daily pharmacy and retail operations in Johannesburg CBD, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with South African regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the pharmacy and retail store, ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant service delivery.
• Lead, supervise, mentor, and develop pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, technicians, and support staff.
• Ensure compliance with South African Pharmacy Council regulations, Good Pharmacy Practice standards, and relevant healthcare legislation.
• Monitor prescription processing, including review, verification, dispensing accuracy, and medication safety checks.
• Maintain high standards of patient care through professional counselling and pharmaceutical services.
• Support delivery of vaccinations, health screenings, medication management, and preventative healthcare services.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, procurement, stock control, expiry management, merchandising, and supplier relationships.
• Drive retail performance by identifying sales opportunities, improving customer experience, and achieving store targets.
• Develop and monitor operational procedures to improve workflow efficiency and service quality.

Required profile

• Qualified pharmacist with experience in pharmacy operations and retail management.
• Proven leadership and supervisory experience in a pharmacy setting.
• Strong knowledge of South African Pharmacy Council regulations and Good Pharmacy Practice.
