About the role
The Pharmacist Intern will support the delivery of a comprehensive, professional, and cost‑effective pharmaceutical service to in‑hospital patients and the public. This fixed‑term, on‑site role is based at Mediclinic Upington and offers practical experience in a hospital pharmacy environment.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure the availability of medicines and scheduled substances for stores and the public.
- Accurately dispense prescribed medications.
- Maintain efficient stock holding of medicines and scheduled substances.
Required profile
- B Pharm degree (essential).
- No prior experience required (essential).
Required skills
- Knowledge of current legislation such as the Medicines and Related Substances Control Act.
- Familiarity with pharmacy systems (e.g., UNISOLVE, AS400).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
