Pharmacist Assistant – Post Basic

About the role

Medirite Helderberg is seeking a qualified Pharmacist Assistant (Post‑Basic) to join the pharmacy team immediately. The role supports the pharmacist in dispensing medication and handling a range of administrative and operational tasks within a busy retail pharmacy environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate stock levels and perform inventory control.
• Assist with dispensing medication under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Handle routine pharmacy administration, including record keeping and documentation.
• Perform housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe work area.
• Provide front‑shop service, greeting customers and addressing basic inquiries.

Required profile

• Qualified Pharmacist Assistant with a Post‑Basic certification.
• Available to start immediately.
• Ability to work under pharmacist supervision and follow standard operating procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
