About the role
The Petshop Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the store’s operations, ensuring that the Checkers Pet Science brand image is consistently represented. This role combines operational, administrative and managerial duties to drive profitability and maintain high standards of service.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day operational tasks, including opening and closing procedures.
- Oversee administrative functions such as reporting, budgeting and compliance.
- Lead and supervise store staff, scheduling shifts and providing performance feedback.
- Control inventory levels, ordering stock and monitoring product turnover.
- Implement and monitor security measures to meet company standards.
- Identify opportunities to maximise store profitability while preserving brand integrity.
