Personal Trainer – Glen Acres

About the role

Virgin Active is looking for an enthusiastic Personal Trainer to operate within the Glen Acres club. You will run your own client base, deliver tailored fitness programmes and use the club’s facilities to help members achieve their health goals.

Key responsibilities

• Design safe and effective exercise programmes for individual clients.
• Provide high‑level customer service to personal training clients and all club members.
• Build and maintain a sustainable client base by attracting new members and retaining existing ones.
• Complete and keep accurate client records in the designated club area.
• Maintain professional boundaries and act appropriately in club emergencies.
• Participate in club‑wide activities and help create a fun atmosphere in the fitness areas.
• Follow Virgin Active’s personal training guidelines and ensure all certifications are current.

Required profile

• Matric qualification.
• Recognised Personal Training qualification.
• 1–2 years’ experience in personal training.
• Current First Aid, CPR and AED certification.
• Outgoing, friendly personality with strong communication skills.
• Self‑motivated to meet income targets and disciplined to grow a client base.
