Permanent Part‑timer – Retail Associate

About the role

This permanent part‑time position supports the daily operations of an adidas store, ensuring customers receive excellent service while maintaining store standards and policies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the highest level of adidas service to every customer.
• Process sales transactions, including cash, credit and checks.
• Assist with product ticketing, paperwork verification and stock flow from the stockroom to the sales floor.
• Help develop and maintain merchandise displays according to management guidelines.
• Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately.
• Apply selling techniques such as add‑on sales and technical product explanations.
• Greet customers, act as a front‑door greeter during busy periods, and provide product recommendations.
• Maintain store cleanliness and general housekeeping standards.
• Support loss‑prevention efforts by monitoring the sales floor and reporting suspicious activity.
• Participate in in‑store or digital training (Atticus/AREA) and become familiar with Power BI tools for store performance insights.

Required profile

• Passion for retail and customer service.
• Clear, upbeat communication and the ability to take initiative.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
• Matric certificate; 0‑1 years of retail experience (fashion retail preferred but not essential).

Required skills

• Proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Basic knowledge of Power BI for performance analysis.
