Performance Practitioner – Performance Consulting

About the role

The Department of the Premier, Western Cape Government is looking for a Performance Practitioner to deliver performance consulting services and operational support. Based in Cape Town, the role focuses on enhancing accountability and decision‑making through systematic performance monitoring, reporting and advisory activities. The practitioner will ensure that performance information is accurate, timely and effectively used to support the Department’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide performance consulting services to departmental units and senior officials.
• Conduct ongoing performance monitoring and collect relevant data on key indicators.
• Prepare, analyse and present regular performance reports.
• Offer advisory services aimed at improving accountability across programmes.
• Support decision‑making processes with evidence‑based insights and recommendations.
• Assist in identifying performance gaps and suggest corrective actions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure operational support aligns with performance goals.
