Payroll Administrator

About the role

The Payroll Administrator will support the Payroll Department in end‑to‑end payroll processing, statutory submissions, pension administration and handling client and employee queries. This office‑based role operates from our Foreshore office in Cape Town, following UK working hours.

Key responsibilities

• Process monthly payrolls from start to finish, including calculations for SML, SSP, SPP and SHPP.
• Calculate and administer Auto‑Enrolment pension contributions and attachment of earnings orders.
• Prepare and send CSV payment files to clients, and manage payroll correspondence via email or post.
• Submit FPS and EPS reports to HMRC and address any HMRC queries.
• Upload pension contributions to various providers each month.
• Review and sign off team members’ payrolls before client delivery.
• Maintain accurate payroll records by scanning and filing correspondence.
• Execute year‑end payroll processing and any additional duties as required.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Sage payroll systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience using customer‑management systems for information recording.
