Payment Operations Specialist

About the role

Utopia is looking for a Payment Operations Specialist to ensure precise and timely execution of all monetary transactions across its global luxury hospitality ecosystem. This remote role supports the finance team by managing payment workflows, reconciliations, and reporting, offering strong growth potential within a dynamic company.

Key responsibilities

• Execute domestic and international payment transactions, verifying details and authorisations.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve payment failures, chargebacks, and discrepancies.
• Prepare daily cash position reports, payment summaries, and operational dashboards.
• Document existing workflows, pinpoint inefficiencies, and propose automation or process improvements.
• Assist in ensuring transactions comply with AML, KYC, and internal control policies.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related business field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in payment operations or financial processing.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Experience with payment processing systems.
• Proficiency in bank reconciliation procedures.
