Passenger Vehicle Stock Controller

About the role

The Passenger Vehicle Stock Controller will manage the end‑to‑end administration of new and used vehicle inventory for a busy dealership in Gauteng. You will ensure accurate recording, invoicing, registration and reporting of all vehicle movements, supporting sales and finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain precise records of all vehicle stock, including VIN, engine numbers and specifications.
• Capture purchases, transfers and sales in the dealership management system and monitor stock aging.
• Prepare and process vehicle invoices, registration paperwork and manufacturer rebates.
• Perform regular stock reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and support month‑end counts.
• Produce stock reports for management, accountants and auditors.
• Liaise with sales, finance, manufacturers and transport providers regarding stock deliveries and queries.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
• Certificate or Diploma in Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field (advantageous).
• 2–5 years of experience in vehicle stock control or automotive inventory management.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a Dealership Management System.
