About the role
Komatsu South Africa is looking for a Parts Demand Planner to join the Parts Distribution Centre in Germiston. You will be responsible for planning parts inventory, coordinating supplier orders, and ensuring data integrity across SAP and Excel systems.
Key responsibilities
- Plan parts inventory stock and generate supplier purchase orders.
- Monitor branch usage patterns and adjust order plans accordingly.
- Validate SAP data against Excel reports and maintain data integrity.
- Maintain the master schedule for planning sequences and lead times.
- Report obsolete items, inefficient ordering patterns, and suggest improvements.
- Prepare and verify stock requests before ordering.
- Develop forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns.
Required profile
- Diploma, degree or NQF Level 6 qualification in Supply Chain and Logistics.
- 2–4 years of demand‑planning experience in mining or construction‑machine environments.
- Knowledge of Komatsu products is an advantage.
Required skills
- SAP ordering and SAP‑BI.
- Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Inventory demand planning.
- Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
