Part-Time Financial Adviser – Pietermaritzburg & Surrounds

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking a motivated Part‑Time Financial Adviser to serve clients in Pietermaritzburg, Howick and surrounding areas. This role is ideal for someone already employed elsewhere who wants to supplement their income by offering professional financial advice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tailored financial advice and solutions to existing and prospective clients.
• Leverage your personal network to identify new business opportunities.
• Maintain compliance with DOFA/Fit‑and‑Proper standards and conduct regular credit and criminal checks.
• Conduct client meetings, prepare financial plans and present recommendations.
• Manage the sales pipeline using the company’s sales software and keep accurate records.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s licence and own car for client visits.
• Clear criminal and credit background.
• Minimum Grade 12 education; NQF Level 5 certificate or equivalent.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong planning and organisational abilities.
• Ability to collate, analyse and synthesize information.
• Resilience, tenacity and a sales‑oriented attitude.
