Part Time Financial Adviser

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking motivated individuals to join as part‑time Financial Advisers in the Durban area (Umhlanga, La Lucia, Phoenix, Verulam, KwaMashu and surrounds). This role is designed for professionals who already hold a financial advisory position and wish to supplement their income while leveraging their existing client network.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tailored financial advice to clients within the assigned market segment.
• Identify and develop new sales opportunities through consultative selling.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales data.
• Ensure compliance with DOFA/Fit & Proper regulations and internal policies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.

Required profile

• Minimum education: NQF Level 4 – Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s licence and own car.
• Clear criminal and credit background checks.
• Proven computer literacy and digital dexterity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong planning, organising, analytical and synthesis abilities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with sound business acumen.
• Resilience, grit and a sales‑oriented attitude.
