Paramedic (ALS/ECP) – Emergency Services

About the role

Our client, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking experienced Paramedics/Emergency Care Practitioners to join a private emergency services facility in the Northern Cape. The role involves responding to emergency calls, delivering advanced patient care, and supporting trauma teams across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure operational readiness for emergency calls.
• Administer patient care in line with ALS/ECP scope of practice.
• Liaise with trauma staff and doctors to coordinate treatment.
• Provide basic shift administration services and complete patient report forms.

Required profile

• Advanced Life Support Practitioner (CCA, Ndip) or equivalent qualification.
• Professional registration with HPCSA as an ALS/Paramedic or Emergency Care Practitioner.
• Valid driver’s licence, including a Public Drivers Permit (PrDP).
• At least one year of ALS operational experience (advantageous for newly qualified candidates).
• Strong knowledge of the EMS environment, HPCSA guidelines, and patient report documentation.
• High ethical standards, ability to work under pressure, and collaborative mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• If qualification was obtained before 2018, a completed Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG) Certificate is required.
