Paramedic (ALS/ECP) – Emergency Services in Free State

About the role

Our client, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking experienced Paramedics/Emergency Care Practitioners to cover part‑time shifts at private emergency service facilities in the Free State (Welkom, Bloemfontein and Bethlehem). The role involves responding to emergency calls, delivering advanced life support, and ensuring operational readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure operational readiness for emergency calls.
• Administer patient care in line with ALS/ECP scope of practice.
• Liaise with trauma staff and doctors during emergencies.
• Provide basic shift administration services and complete patient report forms.

Required profile

• Advanced Life Support Practitioner qualification (CCA, Ndip) or equivalent.
• Professional registration with HPCSA as an ALS/Paramedic or Emergency Care Practitioner.
• Valid driver’s licence, including a Public Drivers Permit (PrDP).
• At least one year of ALS operational experience (advantageous).
• If qualification obtained before 2018, a completed Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG) Certificate.
