Paid Media Manager

About the role

takealot.com, South Africa’s leading online retailer, is seeking a talented Paid Media Manager to join its Marketing team in Cape Town. You will own the end‑to‑end execution of paid media campaigns across multiple channels, driving acquisition, retention and revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, run, optimise and report on paid advertising channels including SEM (Google Search & Shopping), Display & Video 360, app install & engagement, and YouTube.
• Allocate and optimise budgets to meet business KPIs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define advertising requirements, provide analysis and develop strategies.
• Stay current with industry changes, design tests and assess new opportunities for paid media.
• Develop and execute a mobile app acquisition and retention strategy.

Required profile

• Degree in Marketing, Statistics, Mathematics or Computer Science.
• 2‑4 years of experience in a paid advertising role.
• Strong attention to detail and e‑commerce advertising experience.
• Excellent data analysis, problem‑solving and reporting abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and communicate with all management levels.
