Packaging Team Leader – FMCG Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Packaging Team Leader to oversee daily packaging operations for an established FMCG manufacturer. The role is based in Bedfordview and involves managing a team that handles bottling, canning, labeling, palletising and related activities.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily packaging production to meet output targets.
• Lead, coach and develop packaging staff, ensuring a safe and hygienic work environment.
• Oversee bottling, canning, labeling, palletising and other packaging processes.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, GMP and HACCP standards.
• Monitor equipment performance, minimise downtime and coordinate with maintenance.
• Work closely with quality and maintenance teams to resolve operational issues.
• Drive continuous‑improvement projects to boost productivity and reduce waste.
• Maintain accurate records of production, downtime and incidents.

Required profile

• National Diploma in Production Management, Operations Management, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a packaging or manufacturing leadership role.
• Experience in FMCG, food, beverage or similar manufacturing environments.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced production setting.
