Outbound Team Leader – Warehouse Operations

About the role

Nestlé is seeking an Outbound Team Leader to oversee warehouse operations at its Bellville Distribution Centre in Cape Town. You will lead a team to ensure accurate picking, staging and dispatch of customer orders while meeting key performance indicators such as On‑Time In‑Full delivery, safety and governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage designated outbound teams within the DC to achieve OTIF, order fulfilment and safety KPIs.
• Drive a high‑performance culture using SDCA and PDCA problem‑solving methodologies.
• Utilise SAP and other digital platforms to optimise warehouse processes.
• Control and maintain master data for pick‑faces, bins and material information.
• Coordinate inbound schedules, discontinuation of materials and efficient use of warehouse capacity.
• Produce and vet daily/monthly shipment reports to ensure timely clearance.
• Communicate proactively with customers, customer service and other stakeholders to align on freshness, bad goods and other supply‑chain impacts.

Required profile

• Degree in Commerce, Economics, Management Sciences (e.g., BCom Supply Chain, BCom/BTech Business Management, Finance, Transport & Logistics, Economics & Stats) or BSc Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of experience in an operational field such as transportation, warehousing or operational management.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on compliance and performance improvement.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
