Outbound Call Centre Agent

About the role

Join a dynamic, Gen‑Z‑focused insurance company as part of its outbound sales team. You will spend your day engaging with prospective and existing customers over the phone, promoting a range of insurance products, and helping to generate qualified leads for the sales department.

Key responsibilities

• Make a high volume of outbound calls daily to prospective and existing customers.
• Introduce and promote the company's insurance products and services professionally.
• Qualify leads, identify customer needs, and schedule appointments for the sales team.
• Follow up on previous enquiries, quotations, and interactions.
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships while handling objections confidently.
• Accurately capture customer information and update the CRM system.
• Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly call, lead generation, and sales targets.
• Maintain detailed records of all interactions and escalate complex queries as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, scripts, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in training, coaching sessions, and team meetings.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
• Previous experience in outbound call centres, telesales, telemarketing, or customer service is preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication in English; additional South African languages are a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a target‑driven environment with strong telephone etiquette.
• Clear, professional speaking voice and resilience under pressure.
