About the role
Support Engineers are deployed on various product lines within the company, primarily focusing on supporting and maintaining custom applications. Engineers take ownership of customer issues and see them through to resolution, including bug identification.
Key responsibilities
- Day‑to‑day support of all company software and systems deployed at international telecommunications network operators.
- Analyse and debug system and postpaid application issues.
- Take ownership of allocated customer issues and see them through to resolution.
- Research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify solutions to resolve customer issues.
- Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers and ensure proper recording and closure of all issues.
- Perform standby activities for critical and high‑impact incidents as scheduled.
- Assist with training and mentoring of Junior Support Engineers.
- Execute defined maintenance activities across all supported systems and actively monitor them.
Required profile
- Good knowledge of SQL; PL/SQL is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Linux.
- Ability to use PL/SQL to retrieve data from Oracle databases.
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with accurate effort forecasting.
- Comfortable working with all levels in a customer organization.
