Operator 1 – Manufacturing

About the role
As an Operator 1 you will work on PepsiCo’s production lines, operating manufacturing, packaging and related equipment to meet daily output targets while adhering to safety, quality and environmental standards.
Key responsibilities
- Operate machinery and equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOP) and client specifications.
- Perform machine checks, set correct parameters, and ensure optimal functioning and output.
- Complete all required documentation, including traceability records, operator checklists, cleaning logs and quality forms.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, breakdowns or deviations from quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, following EHS and QFS standards.
Required profile
- Matric or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in a fruit‑processing or similar manufacturing environment is advantageous.
- Ability to follow SOPs, work to production targets and maintain high quality standards.
Required skills
- Operation of manufacturing/packaging machinery.
- Understanding of safety (EHS) and quality (QFS) procedures.
