Operations Manager – Warehouse & SHEQ (3 positions)

About the role

The Operations Manager will oversee day‑to‑day warehouse activities, ensuring smooth inventory, dispatch, and stock control processes while upholding Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) standards. This role is critical for maintaining operational efficiency, safety compliance, and budgetary targets across the Eco Wash‑Wadeville facility.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain strict adherence to occupational health and safety policies, including PPE usage and incident reporting.
• Ensure full compliance with 5S standards and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage daily warehouse operations, develop operational plans, and validate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Conduct Daily Control System (DCS) talks, toolbox talks, and shift handovers.
• Allocate stock to designated bins, monitor expiration registers, and perform root cause failure analysis (RCFA).
• Develop, cascade, and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Performance Indicators (PIs) at individual and team levels.
• Utilise problem‑solving tools such as 5 WHY, RACI, and OPLs to improve performance.
• Oversee loading/unloading processes, manage turnaround times (TRT), and implement load scheduling and verification.
• Conduct time‑and‑motion studies and ABC analysis of warehouse tools.
• Maintain inventory and quality policy compliance, addressing operational gaps promptly.

Required profile

• Proven experience in warehouse or logistics operations management.
• Strong knowledge of SHEQ regulations and safety best practices.
• Ability to develop, implement, and train staff on SOPs and operational routines.
• Experience conducting RCFA and driving KPI‑based performance improvements.
• Excellent communication skills for shift handovers, toolbox talks, and stakeholder reporting.
