Operations Executive – Pharmaceuticals

About the role

Productively applying all available resources and assets to produce quality products according to pharmaceutical standards, you will ensure client needs are met in the most cost‑effective way. You will implement and comply with BRC, HACCP and ISO 22000 food safety standards to guarantee products of the highest efficacy, quality, safety and legality.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all products are manufactured and packed according to company procedures and meet GMP, MCC, TGA, HACCP, BRC, ISO and other statutory requirements.
• Maintain compliance with pharmaceutical, food and cosmetic legislative requirements.
• Uphold high standards of safety, health, hygiene and security in the factory.
• Manage staff training, equipment provision and motivation through effective people‑management processes.
• Implement Vital’s procedures relating to factory output, discipline, safety, quality and job performance.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects to achieve optimal efficiencies of materials, equipment and labour.

Required profile

• Degree or national diploma in Operations Management or equivalent.
• At least 10 years’ production management experience in an FMCG/pharmaceutical environment.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP, production and continuous‑improvement processes, MRP, quality standards and relevant legislation such as the OSH Act and BCEA.
• Excellent problem‑solving, strategic thinking and people‑management abilities.
