Operational Accountant – Finance Team

About the role

We are a growing group business based in Klapmuts (Paarl) seeking a dynamic and detail‑oriented Operational Accountant to join our finance team on a permanent, full‑time basis. This role is ideal for a technically strong accounting professional who enjoys operational finance, systems work, and a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform operational accounting and bookkeeping functions across the group.
• Execute month‑end processing, reconciliations and inter‑company transactions.
• Support financial reporting and analysis using advanced Excel techniques.
• Assist with ERP and Xero migration projects, including data validation and system testing.
• Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis, inventory and production costing support.
• Collaborate with other finance functions to ensure accurate and timely information flow.

Required profile

• BCom Accounting or equivalent tertiary qualification.
• 1–2 years post‑articles or operational accounting/bookkeeping experience.
• Hands‑on experience with Xero Accounting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, financial analysis).
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English (spoken and written).
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG or multi‑entity group finance is advantageous.
